Julie Cooper

Tell us a little about yourself.
I’ve been married to Scott Cooper for 36 years. I have four children and four grandkids that keep me busy. We have 6 dogs numerous cats and a flock of chickens.

What was one of your first/most memorable jobs growing up?
My first job was working at the Dairy Queen in Circleville. I also work at Quality Farm & Fleet.

What would you say is one of your best traits?
My willingness to help out and do anything at any time. My friendly personality and easy to get along with.

What’s one of your favorite things to do in your free time?
I love working outside in my garden and playing with my grandchildren.

What is your favorite book/movie/TV show?
My favorite author is Mary Higgins Clark. I love any of her books. My favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice, the old musical movies and also National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Who has been an influential person in your life and why?
My dad. He taught us to respect our elders and to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
I have two places. First is when we took our family out west to Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone. My second trip was when we went to visit my youngest son Peyton in New York.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
My family. I’m very family-oriented and make sure they all know how important they are to me.

Tell us something that most people don’t know about you.
I was a majorette in high school and loved marching in the Pumpkin Show every year.

What is one of your favorite things about working at Pioneer Center?
The feeling of being part of a family. The kids of course and the love I get from them. It’s unconditional and pure.
