Service and Support Administrator
Summary of Duties

Duties include but are not limited to coordination of intake and eligibility for Board services, individual needs assessments, ISP development, service provider selection assistance, establishing budgets, and in-home visits.

Responsibilities

May Coordinate intake and determine eligibility for Board services; assesses individual needs for services; develops ISPs; establishes budgets based on the individual’s assessed needs and preferences; assists individuals in selecting service provider; ensures services are effectively coordinated and provided; completes all documentation in a timely manner, makes all referrals in a timely manner, makes recommendations for referrals to community agencies and provides follow-up; reviews any unusual or major unusual incident reports for trends and patterns and takes the lead role in solving problems identified; ensures that each individual has a designated person who is responsible for day to day coordination of services; performs other routine clerical/data entry duties.

Participates in weekly staff meetings.

Performs 24-hour crisis intervention service as needed. Carries On-Call Cell Phone and is on-call as needed in the office rotation.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned, including, but not limited to, TAPS Training.
Attends professional meetings.
Staffs Behavior Support Referrals and communicates with Behavior Support Committee & Human Rights Committee.

Responsible for knowing Board policies/procedures and work rules.

 

 

180 Day Probationary Period

Experience & Education
  • B.S. Degree (4 Yr.) in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Vocational Rehabilitation or related field
  • Two years’ experience with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, or related social service
  • Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities budget management training
Licenses and Certifications
  • Obtain and maintain DODD Registration/Certification
  • Must hold and maintain a current, valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain insurability with automobile insurance carriers
  • All DD mandated background checks clearance
  • Therapeutic Assault Prevention System certification
Equipment
  • Must be proficient in computer skills, telephone, fax/scan/copy/printing equipment.

Normal Working Hours
FROM: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Flexing hours as needed
Working Conditions
  • Working conditions may exist that are not such as normally exist in the occupation of the public employee. These conditions may include exposure to blood borne pathogens, communicable disease, potentially infectious material and/or aggressive behavior.
Environmental Conditions
  • Splits time between office, travel, and meeting in other locations. Works closely with MUI Investigator, Program Managers and family or guardian. Meetings may be held throughout community and during evening and/or weekends.
  • Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions.
  • Exposure to distracting or discomforting noise.
