Substitute Bus Driver position will assist Transportation Coordinator with bus-related activities. Must hold and maintain a valid Driver's License (Class B with School Bus & Passenger Endorsements). Responsible for operating a bus safely and promoting good public relations.
Conduct pre-trip inspection to each field trip or destination as required by the State of Ohio. Responsible for safe operating of the bus. Responsible for the cleanliness of the bus. Follow properly approved procedures for reporting bus accidents. Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude, conversation, and appearance of the school bus. Attend driver training and in-service as scheduled by the Transportation Coordinator. Assist the Transportation Coordinator with bus-related activity as needed. Potential operation of bus under inclement weather conditions.
Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. FBI/BCII and all other applicable background checks are required. Must hold and maintain valid Driver’s License (Class B with School Bus & Passenger Endorsements.) Must pass T-8 Physical and Alcohol/ Drug Testing. One Year experience in Special Education classroom preferred. CPR and First Aid certified.
