This week we are featuring FIVE amazing Direct Support Professionals during National DSP Week! We are celebrating ALL DSPs — they are the heart and soul of everything we do to help people with disabilities feel, and be, included in the community. #DSPRW19
DSP WEEK ALL STAR:
Debbie Cousins, Frontier Community Services
Debbie is the perfect example of an all-star direct service provider. She has the willingness to go the extra mile and is committed to not only the people she provides for and their families, but also her fellow DSP team. She is creative and flexible in all her approaches to the people that she serves. She loves helping people achieve their goals and dreams. Recently she assisted a person all the way through with becoming a volunteer at a day care — a goal this person has had for over 20 years!
Debbie dedicates her years and experience to mentoring new DSP’s, which is such an admirable quality. Her open communication with her team makes her an asset and confidante — others know they can go to her when they are struggling and she can put them at ease. She is respected and loved from the people she supports, their families, as well as all those around her.
Congratulations, Debbie!
