This week we are featuring FIVE amazing Direct Support Professionals during National DSP Week! We are celebrating ALL DSPs — they are the heart and soul of everything we do to help people with disabilities feel, and be, included in the community. #DSPRW19
DSP WEEK ALL STAR:
Brett Fannin, Frontier Community Services
Brett genuinely strives to make the quality of life for the people he supports his top priority. He always goes above and beyond in so many areas. He is not just considered a great staff member; he is also considered their friend. They have fun together, taking them places they like to go and introducing them to new adventures. Recently, there was a shortage of providers in a home. Brett stepped up and worked his tail off without any complaint. During all of the extra hours, he didn’t miss a beat and made sure that all needs and wants were met for both men in the home, plus making sure that all documentation was kept in order.
Brett’s kindness, sincerity, and dedication is obvious and the fellows look up to him — you can tell by the interaction between them. Even when a situation becomes frustrating, Brett keeps his cool and figures out another way to address the situation. He is always looking for ways to help improve the lives of the individuals as their provider. Brett is always figuring out ways to make their environment safer and making sure that they are the best person that they can be.
Congratulations, Brett!
