Pony Camp!

Pioneer Pony Camp is a one week summer camp for students with developmental disabilities. This camp will be held at the Ross County Fairgrounds. Pony Camp is open to any student in Ross County with a developmental disability ages 5-14. Students participate in various equine riding opportunities, crafts, special performances, sensory time and water play.

Children participating in this camp should be able to transition between activities and take turns with prompting, stay in a group setting and be interested in participating in the activities provided. Due to our limited ability to control the environment and provide sensory support to participants, we are currently not able to serve those with a high frequency of harmful or self-injurious behaviors at Pony Camp. Please check out some of our other camp offerings if this applies to your child.

Dates: June 23rd - June 27th, 2025

Time: 9 AM – 12 PM

Location: Ross County Fairgrounds

Parent/Guardian must provide transportation to and from camp.

Spaces are limited. Families will be notified of enrollment acceptance within 14 days of registration closing via the email provided and regular mail.

If your child uses special cups, pull-ups, diapers, etc., you should send those with your child each day. If your child needs emergency medications such as seizure rescue medications, Epi Pens, etc., please send those with your child daily.

Camp questions can be directed to Lacey Derexson, 740-773-8044 or lderexson@rossdd.org.
